The Golden temple also has the biggest kitchen which feeds the devotees with prepared food is known as Guru ka Langar, The Golden Temple gives a true feeling of divine peace to its devotees who comes from all over the world to Amritsar.
The passage to the Golden temple has been beautifully
developed recently by the state government the uniformed wall color of the
entire market and the glimpse of Punjabi culture has been shown in the statutes
shown on the street.

Near to Golden temple is Jalianwala bagh which is a memorial of freedom fighters who gathered for a public rally against the British rule on April 19, 1909. The British officer General dyer ordered the firing of the mob which resulted in the martyrdom of hundred of people. Jalianwala bagh also has a museum where you can see the history of freedom fighters against the British rule, You can still see the original marks of the bullets fired on the wall circled to highlight for the visitors of Jalianwala Bagh.

The Partition Museum Around 10 minutes walk from the Golden temple one can visit the partition museum which is among the top museum you would ever experience, The museum shows the history and impact of the partition which saw one of the biggest migration of people, The museum is located at the town hall and is been designed using state-of-the-art resources, yet you would feel the history standing right in between.
Amritsar is also a paradise for food lovers you can experience the local cuisine mainly Amritsari kulcha with chana and famous Punjabi Dal makhni on very famous 100 years old local restaurant Bharaveain da Dhaba ( Brothers restaurant in translation) which serves The DAL prepared on Coal on very deem heat and get prepared throughout the night and give an excellent taste.

The Wagha border is only 35 kilometers from the
Golden temple, and you can book your car by drivers offering transfers to the
Wagha border from outside the golden temples.
